Speaking during a public address, President William Ruto said his administration has issued more than two million title deeds over the past four years as part of efforts to strengthen land ownership and resolve long-standing land disputes across the country.
The President said the programme has enabled thousands of families to obtain legal ownership documents, giving them greater security over their property while improving access to financial services through the use of land as collateral.
Ruto noted that the government is committed to accelerating land registration and clearing pending title deed cases in different regions to ensure more Kenyans receive ownership documents.
He explained that secure land ownership is key to promoting investment, reducing land-related conflicts and supporting economic development.

According to Ruto, the title deed programme is part of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s broader efforts to improve land administration, strengthen property rights and enhance public confidence in land ownership.
