Photos shared by Nayianoi Ntutu during a recent trip to Spain sparked widespread speculation on social media after some users claimed the unidentified man seen with her was a new romantic partner. The rumours gained momentum because the man’s face was not clearly visible in the images, leading many to make assumptions about the widow’s personal life.
Nayianoi has now publicly addressed the claims, clarifying that the man in the photos is her brother, Kantet Ntutu. Responding through her Instagram account, she dismissed the speculation and expressed frustration over the spread of unverified information.
“Can we please know where to draw the line… This is my brother Kantet Ntutu,” she wrote.
Her statement brought an end to the online rumours and highlighted the dangers of making conclusions based on incomplete information.
Nayianoi has remained in the public spotlight since the death of her husband, former Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, who died in a helicopter crash in February. The couple, who married in August 2018, have two daughters.
She is also a member of the prominent Ntutu political family. Her father is Livingstone Ole Ntutu, while Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, former Senator Stephen Ole Ntutu and Narok South MP Kitilai Ole Ntutu are among her close relatives.
Following her husband’s death, local elders encouraged her to contest the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat, but she declined and instead backed David Keter, who later ran on a UDA ticket. She currently serves on the board of the Information and Communication Technology Authority.
The incident has renewed discussions about privacy and responsible social media use, with many people urging users to verify facts before sharing or commenting on personal matters involving public figures.
