Nyandarua senator John Methu has said that he is disagreeing with the United Opposition and the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua on the issue of Opposition’s Flagbearer adding that it is Gachagua who is qualified to be the oppositions Flagbearer and that the opposition should now focus on looking for a qualified running mate for Gachagua.
“Your Excellency Gachagua Unajua Mimi Nakuheshimu Sana na Nakubaliana Na Wewe Sana. Lakini Kuna Ile Jambo Ndogo Sikubaliani Nayo. Mimi Naona Ni Wewe Ndio Umenyane na Huyu Ruto. Hio Maneno Nimekataa,” he said.’Your H.E Gachagua you now I reapect you so much. But there is this small issue I don’t agree with you and those other Principals. I know you are our presidential candidate who should face off with Ruto. So the issue of looking for a suitable presidential candidate is a No. I don’t agree’ it translates.
He added that the opposition should now move with speed and pick a qualified running mate who will deputize Gachagua in the coming general elections.
He was speaking during the thank you tour for the Ol Kalou elect member of parliament Hon Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru Ngotho in the company of Rigathi Gachagua.
