However, few are aware that his journey into the spotlight began with an unexpected opportunity while working behind the scenes in television.Born in 1958 and hailing from the Kamba community, Musyoka studied media production and started his career at the former Voice of Kenya, now KBC.
Rather than appearing on screen, he worked as a news director, overseeing broadcasts and ensuring every bulletin was ready before it reached viewers.
His life changed on a day when a news anchor failed to report for duty just moments before a live broadcast.
Faced with little time, his supervisors asked Musyoka to step in and present the news instead.
