Former Kirinyaga Women Rep Wangui Ngirici has reacted to a viral video of Mama Ida Odinga declining to dance with Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir during a recent event in Mombasa.
The video which has been circulating on social media captured the Mombasa Governor trying to invite Mama Ida Odinga for a suggestive dance.
Leaders including President Ruto had stood up and were jamming to a song that was playing at the event. Abdulswamad was spotted holding Mama Ida’s hand and trying to make her turn around. However Mama Odinga declined the dance.
The video has continued to elicit mixed reactions including from Wangui Ngirici. She shared the video and mocked that even Mombasa are in support of ‘Wantam’. He also mocked that UDA SG Hassan Omar will still blame Uhuru and Gachagua over Coastal misfortunes.

She was reacting to a recent video captured during the closing ceremony of the 11th Our Ocean Conference which was presided over by President Ruto.
The video has continued to elicit mixed reactions from Kenyans, with a section feeling that the Mombasa Governor disrespected Mama Ida Odinga by trying to invite her for her suggestive dance.
