Former television host Grace Ekirapa has emotionally opened up about the painful treatment she allegedly faced in church after reports of her separation from actor Pascal Tokodi spread online.
Speaking candidly about the difficult season in her life, Grace compared the church to a hospital where people seek healing for broken hearts and wounded souls. However, she said her experience left her feeling even more hurt instead of comforted. According to her, some believers who once embraced and encouraged her suddenly changed after news of her marriage troubles became public.
Grace disclosed that discussing the issue publicly had not been easy and revealed she spent a long time praying for wisdom before deciding to speak out. She recounted being summoned by one of her pastors after rumours about her failed marriage circulated online. During the meeting, she was informed that several church members were uncomfortable seeing her continue ministering at the pulpit.
The revelation deeply shocked her, and she feared she would be removed from church duties completely. However, Grace praised her pastor for standing by her during the emotional turmoil. She explained that serving in church became the one stable thing helping her cope during the painful transition.
The mother of one also lamented how quickly attitudes changed around her. People who previously admired and appreciated her ministry allegedly became distant and judgmental once her personal struggles became public knowledge.
