Shocking details have emerged at the Milimani High Court exposing highly secretive operations allegedly conducted at the peak of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s historic impeachment proceedings in October 2024.
Jackson Kihara Gachagua, the incarcerated son of the late former Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua, has dropped a massive bombshell. He claims that senior government officials, including powerful State House operatives and top-ranking national security officers, made highly classified, late-night visits to him at Manyani Maximum Security Prison.
Appearing before High Court Judge Alexander Muteti, Kihara alleged that the state machinery sent emissaries to his prison cell to strike an undercover deal that directly tied into the political downfall of his powerful uncle.
The Hidden Plot Behind the Closed-Door Prison Meetings
According to the sensational claims heard in open court, the high-stakes intelligence visits occurred precisely when the Senate and National Assembly were moving with speed to oust the then-Deputy President. Kihara, who is serving a 20-year sentence following a controversial 2019 conviction for robbery with violence, testified that he was pressured to provide critical leverage against his family members.
The inmate stated that he finally gathered the courage to speak up after receiving firm government assurances regarding the safety and security of his immediate family.
Framed Up Charges: Kihara maintained before the judge that his original multi-million-shilling robbery conviction was a sophisticated, malicious setup orchestrated to force him into surrendering vital asset documents belonging to his late father’s vast multi-billion estate.
Compromised Legal Counsel: The inmate further shocked the courtroom by stating that all private defense lawyers he hired previously were systematically reached out to and compromised, leaving his household helpless.
High Court Orders Security Escort for Hidden Documents
In light of the new developments, Justice Alexander Muteti issued a highly unusual directive ordering heavily armed security forces at Manyani Maximum Prison to physically escort Kihara to an undisclosed location to retrieve hidden family estate documents.
The inmate told the court that he had deliberately kept the secret location of the financial records hidden from family associates to prevent them from being seized or destroyed.
While the judicial bench noted that it cannot easily overturn factual matters already finalized by the Court of Appeal, it granted Kihara the greenlight to pull out the hidden files ahead of a monumental court review ruling set for June 17. The emergence of these shadowy prison deals has threatened to completely blow open the hidden financial and political fault lines of the Gachagua political dynasty.
