Kenyan content creator Diana Marua has openly spoken about what she believes is her husband Kevin Bahati’s biggest weakness when it comes to parenting their children.
Speaking during a candid conversation shared online on Wednesday, May 20, Diana revealed that Bahati often leaves her to handle most of the difficult parenting responsibilities, especially discipline.
The mother of three explained that while Bahati is loving and caring toward their children, he rarely takes action when the children misbehave. According to Diana, she is usually left to solve serious parenting matters on her own.
“If I were you, I would take more responsibility in raising our kids. Umeniwachia hawa watoto niwa-raise,” Diana said during the conversation.
She added that Bahati hardly punishes the children and instead prefers asking her how she plans to deal with certain situations.
“My husband, when it comes to disciplining our children, he does not pick a stick or even a mwiko. He usually asks me, ‘Utadeal aje na hiyo?’” she said.
Diana further revealed that there was only one time Bahati physically punished one of their children. She recalled that their son Majesty had broken a glass item that Bahati had bought using his own money.
“The only time he punished a child is when Majesty broke a mirror. That is because he used his own money to buy it,” she explained.
Responding to Diana’s claims, Bahati defended himself by saying he believes in talking to children before punishing them.
“I talk to my kids until there is need for punishment,” Bahati explained.
