Painful emotions were witnessed after Naiyanoi Ntutu emotionally recalled how she learned about the death of her husband through statements shared on social media by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking during a public meeting, Naiyanoi said the moment remains one of the hardest experiences in her life. She explained that on that day, Gachagua publicly announced that her husband had died while she was still at home waiting for him.
According to her, the shocking news left her confused and heartbroken. She said she had to stay strong for the sake of her children even though she was deeply hurt inside.
She says that on that day, Gachagua announced that Johanna Ng’eno had died. She continues and says that she was in the house waiting for her husband.On top, she adds that she couldn’t cry because the children were in the house.
Her statement moved many supporters who attended the gathering. Some sympathized with her pain while others reacted strongly online after hearing her story.
Naiyanoi also used the opportunity to speak about politics in Emurua Dikirr. She urged voters in the area to reject Gachagua’s political camp and instead support the ruling United Democratic Alliance,UDA.
She said supporting UDA would help honour the memory and leadership of her late husband. According to her, the people of Emurua Dikirr should remain united and continue backing leaders who will bring development to the area.
The emotional remarks have continued to spark mixed reactions online, with many Kenyans discussing leadership, political loyalty, and the pain families go through during difficult moments.
