A Murang’a businessman has shared a deeply personal account of how he rose from humble beginnings to become a millionaire, only to later lose his wealth in a series of events he links to challenges in his marriage.
Isaac Miheso, whose story was featured by TUKO.co.ke, narrated how his early life was marked by hardship and instability. Growing up in Nairobi’s Huruma estate, he faced numerous challenges, including frequent relocations that disrupted his education. Eventually, he dropped out of school and took up casual jobs to survive.
His breakthrough came when a relative introduced him to business. Miheso started small, running a modest food kiosk before expanding into a retail shop. Through determination and hard work, the business grew rapidly, eventually becoming a 24 hour operation in Murang’a town. At his peak, he says he had accumulated significant wealth and established himself as a successful entrepreneur.
However, his life took a turn after he got married around 2010. Miheso explained that he involved his wife in the business, hoping to grow it further. Instead, he claims that disagreements and mistrust began to affect both their relationship and the business operations.
He alleged that frequent conflicts at the workplace created tension, making it difficult to maintain customers and staff. According to him, the situation worsened when he took a loan to expand the business, using his property as collateral. As the business began to struggle, repaying the loan became increasingly difficult.
Miheso further claimed that his wife later left their home and took household items, leaving him in financial distress. The matter escalated into a prolonged legal dispute over child support and custody, which he said lasted for more than two years. The legal battle, combined with declining business performance, reportedly contributed to his financial collapse.
By the time the case was resolved, Miheso said he had lost most of his wealth and was forced to start over. He described the experience as a painful lesson, noting how personal challenges can significantly affect business success.
Despite the setback, he says he has been working to rebuild his life, focusing on self improvement and regaining financial stability.
His story serves as a reminder of the importance of balancing personal relationships and business responsibilities, as well as the potential consequences when the two become intertwined.
