Baby James who was adopted by Mike Sonko after the brutal murder of his dad in Mathare has maintained that he will not go back to his uncles in Kisii.
The politician had previously expressed his concerns regarding blackmail from James’ uncle, Samwel Araka Moranga, whom he had hired and subsequently suspended due to disciplinary matters.
Araka accused Sonko of unlawfully seizing custody of the child and even called upon the spirits of his deceased brother.
While in a vehicle, Baby James spoke to his uncle, urging him to cease his interference with his adoptive father.
Baby James stated that he does not wish to return to Kisii, highlighting the pleasant life he is experiencing at Sonko’s residence.
Sonko asserted that any effort to exploit the child for publicity, extortion, or intimidation will be rejected and addressed appropriately.
The businessman underscored his commitment to prioritizing the child’s welfare, ensuring he grows up in a secure and nurturing environment with adequate care and quality education.
