Mutuse

Kibwezi West Member of Parliament Mwengi Mutuse has spoken out as political attention begins to shift toward Kenya’s 2027 general elections. The legislator, widely recognized for tabling the impeachment motion against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, stressed that leadership choices will increasingly be influenced by measurable development outcomes rather than political promises.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Mutuse pointed out that voters are becoming more focused on accountability and delivery. He stated that “Kenyans will elect leaders based on their development track records,” highlighting what he sees as a growing demand for performance-driven leadership.

Mutuse also disclosed that he recently presented a Ksh 5 million personal donation from President William Ruto to UNOA Comprehensive School in Wote Town, Makueni County. The donation fulfills a commitment made by the President during his development tour of the region on November 12, 2025, following an appeal by parents who requested support for constructing a perimeter wall to improve the school’s security.

Additionally, the MP acknowledged the role of First Lady Rachel Ruto in supporting development initiatives at the school. He noted that her contributions include the drilling of a borehole, construction of more than ten classrooms, and improvements to the school field through leveling and grass planting.

Mutuse expressed gratitude for what he described as continued government support toward education and infrastructure development in Wote Town and across Makueni County. He emphasized that such initiatives demonstrate a commitment to improving learning environments and uplifting local communities.
