Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has announced the resumption of the Linda Mwananchi movement tour, bringing the political initiative back to the spotlight after a long break. The Narok edition is set to take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the OCovenant Church International (CCI) in Ntulele, Narok Town.

In a social media post, Sifuna encouraged supporters to attend the event, emphasizing both spiritual reflection and political engagement.

“Update ya kesho…Misa kama kawa tuweke hii Movement mbele ya God…alafu kiwanja. Kuna mtu hajui Narok ni wapi?” he wrote, inviting citizens to participate in the church service and subsequent mega rally.

The day-long program will begin with church service from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the Linda Mwananchi mega rally from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The event aims to energize supporters, provide updates on the movement, and reinforce grassroots participation ahead of the next election cycle.

The Linda Mwananchi movement, spearheaded by Sifuna, has positioned itself as a significant counterweight within Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), rallying supporters who seek to influence the party’s direction and upcoming political contests.Sifuna urged supporters, particularly in Narok, where the campaign begins, to register through the online platform to ensure their participation in the movement.

He described the Linda Mwananchi initiative as a tool for direct citizen engagement, designed to complement physical caravan visits and to gauge grassroots support ahead of the 2027 general election.

The campaign has also sparked debate within ODM, with Sifuna among leaders expressing caution over the party’s cooperation with the broad-based government arrangement.

The Linda Mwananchi movement had taken a brief hiatus after their Kakamega rally, which attracted massive crowds of Kenyans who turned up to witness the political event.
