Thief

Residents of Lang’ata Estate are still trying to come to terms with a bizarre incident after a stolen vehicle was mysteriously returned just hours later—complete with an apology note from the suspected thief.

The car owner, identified as Philip, had parked his white Toyota Premio outside his home overnight, only to discover the following morning that it had been stolen.

The scene suggested a break-in, leaving him frustrated and preparing for what he assumed would be a long and difficult recovery process.

However, in a shocking twist, Philip later found the vehicle back in the exact spot it had been taken from. Even more puzzling was a handwritten note allegedly left behind by the thief, apologizing for the incident.

The contents of the note have not been fully disclosed, but sources indicate it expressed regret, leaving many wondering what could have prompted such a sudden change of heart.

What has deepened the mystery is the absence of any clear footage from nearby CCTV cameras.

Despite the area being under surveillance, no recordings have surfaced showing how the car was returned or who was responsible.

The strange episode has sparked widespread reactions among residents and online users, with some speculating fear, guilt, or even supernatural factors behind the act.

Others see it as a rare case of remorse in a city often grappling with rising cases of car theft.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement, but the incident has undoubtedly left Nairobi residents both amused and unsettled in equal measure.
