A shocking incident in Nairobi has left a young man battling for his life after he was allegedly attacked by his girlfriend while asleep at his home in Umoja 1 Estate.
Steve Godia was admitted to a city hospital with serious burn injuries after the incident which happened on the eve of Valentine’s Day.Police are investigating the matter as attempted murder and grievous assault. The case was reported, but ten days later the suspect is still missing, raising concern among his family.
Steve says the attack followed a disagreement after his girlfriend accused him of being in contact with an ex-girlfriend.
According to him, what was meant to be a calm discussion turned violent in the middle of the night.

Admitted to a city hospital, Steve says he was attacked by his girlfriend and scalded with hot water during what he believed would be a calm meeting to iron out differences in their relationship.
Instead, that conversation allegedly erupted into violence, leaving him with severe injuries and a Valentine he may never forget.
Steve alleges the suspect, Gladwell Kagai, also took his phones and transferred more than three hundred thousand shillings from his account before fleeing.
CCTV footage reportedly captured her leaving the compound.
Steve is a third-year student at Multimedia University of Kenya and says the injuries forced him to miss exams as medical bills continue to rise.
He is now appealing for help and urging police to arrest the suspect so justice can be served.
