As she turns 25 this Sunday, award-winning singer Nadia Mukami has paraded the cream of the Kenyan showbiz scene to join her in the celebrations.
She says the big day is significant, calling it a “sweet milestone in my life”.
The musicians who have confirmed attendance include Khaligraph Jones, Mejja, Arrow Bwoy and Bahati. Also in the list is Sanaipei Tande, Fena Gitu, Joe Mfalme, DJ Mr T, MC Jose and Joy Muthengi.
“This is a major celebration for me and I would like to share the sweet little moment with everyone who has supported me in this journey. It is a day I would like to celebrate with my friends as it is a sweet milestone in my life,” Nadia, who has been nominated in the Best Female Artiste category in this year’s Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVAs), said of the Moran Lounge party.
“I am turning 25 and that is a sweet thing. It is exciting and anxious at the same time,” she remarked.
The celebrations come barely week since she released her new hit single ‘Legeza’, featuring Mejja. In three days the song has garnered more than half a million views on YouTube.
Asked if she would be performing with Mejja during the Sunday party, Nadia said guests should come expecting pleasant surprises.
Besides the performing artistes, the star-studded guest-list features other trusted names in the local entertainment industry among them events organisers, thespians and entertainment journalists.
Known for her sensational mellow tunes such as ‘Radio Love’, ‘Wangu’ and ‘Nipe Yote’, Nadia has been nominated for the Pulse Music Video Awards (Female Video of the Year category) alongside former fellow winner Nikita Kering. The category also has Jovial, Ssaru, Femi One and Maandy.
