Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has once again stirred social media conversation by revealing his unconventional plan for domestic life. In a candid update shared on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the legislator declared that he has no intention of building separate homes for his future spouses, opting instead to house three wives under a single roof.

Reflecting on the financial toll of his current construction project, Salasya admitted that the building has significantly drained his resources.

“This house has really drained my finances. I won’t build any [other] house,” he wrote.

He explained that all three women he intends to marry will reside in the property as one large family, though he humorously noted that he has yet to identify who the lucky three will be.

To ensure order and privacy within the household, the MP detailed a specific vertical living arrangement. According to his plan, each wife will be assigned her own dedicated level of the home: one on the ground floor, the second on the first floor, and the third on the second floor.

“Mmoja ground floor, wa pili first floor, third second floor,” he stated, adding that he would then summon them individually to his quarters.

He framed this approach as being consistent with his identity as a traditional, polygamous Luhya man.

The MP’s quest for a partner has been a matter of public record since late 2025. During a high-profile gathering at Opoda Farm on November 7, 2025, Mama Ida Odinga publicly responded to Salasya’s appeal for her to help him find a suitable bride. Addressing the crowd, Mama Ida promised to take the request seriously, jokingly telling the “daughters of Raila” that she would conduct a thorough vetting process.

Salasya maintains that his “one-house” policy is both a cultural choice and a strategic financial move. By centralizing his future family, he believes he can avoid the immense cost of multiple properties while still providing each wife with her own distinct space. As he nears the completion of his home, the lawmaker seems ready to transition from builder to family man, one floor at a time.
