A throwback video from a 2019 mega rally in Kisumu has resurfaced online—and it has left Kenyans equal parts stunned, amused, and deeply divided.
The viral clip shows Prophet David Owuor, leader of the Repentance and Holiness Ministry, making jaw-dropping claims about the creation of the universe—claims many online are struggling to process.
“We Created Those Planets”
In the footage, Owuor boldly tells a packed congregation that he was present at the creation of the cosmos—and not as a spectator.
According to the preacher, he actively took part in arranging the universe itself.
“We created those planets,” Owuor declares, before adding,
“I was holding to put them in their orbit and on their matrix.”
He even invites the crowd to imagine the scale of such a task, dramatically gesturing as he says:
“Imagine how big a hand one can be.”
Kenyans Say: ‘Hii Ni Nini?’
As the clip made the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), reactions came in fast—and brutal.
One user, @LilithBlack25, asked what many were thinking:
“How do people buy such stories?”
Another, @Kibet_bull, expressed disbelief at who believes him:
“I wonder, we even have lecturers following such.”
Mental Health Questions Take Centre Stage
A large chunk of the online commentary questioned the prophet’s mental state.
“I’m starting to believe this guy isn’t okay mentally,” wrote @SirmeWere.
“This man has mental issues. This is not normal,” added @MPlegal1.
Others didn’t mince words. @Intelligent_Maa summed it up with laughing emojis and a blunt verdict:
“This prophet has gone nuts.”
Followers Also Under Fire
The backlash didn’t stop with Owuor. Some critics turned their attention to his loyal followers.
“His followers need a full mental check-up. Urgently,” claimed @JCarhire.
Another user, @Dr_Masara, labelled believers as “dumb and gullible,” sparking further debate about faith, logic, and influence.
The Faithful Fire Back
Despite the online ridicule, Prophet Owuor’s supporters remain unshaken.
Some brushed off the scientific absurdity of the claims, choosing instead to focus on what they say are miracles witnessed at his rallies.
“I may not understand how planets were created, but I see the results,” wrote @yegonbabaian, claiming that “the crippled walk and the blind receive sight.”
He went on to hail Owuor and his team as the “MIGHTIEST PROPHETS OF JEHOVAH.”
As the clip continues to trend, one thing is clear: years later, Prophet Owuor still knows how to command attention, controversy, and conversation—whether believers like it or not.
