Suba North Constituency Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo is married to Magugu Mabona, a Zimbabwean national.

They got married on 14 February 2006 (Valentine’s Day), and their wedding took place on a ferry on Lake Victoria near Kisumu, Kenya.

According to Odhiambo, they met online before getting married.

Their marriage is long-distance, as Mabona lives in Zimbabwe while Millie is mainly based in Kenya due to her political career.

Millie has no biological children, but Mabona has a daughter named Lebo from a previous relationship who lives in Botswana.

Mabona has more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He is passionate about hotel and catering management.

 

He also serves as the Executive Director of Amaka Images, a company that specialises in hotel and catering management and leadership training within the lifestyle industry.

In addition, he is the Operations Deputy General Manager at The Victoria Falls Hotel, a notable hotel in Zimbabwe.

He is known to support his wife publicly, including appearing at events such as Millie’s book launch in Nairobi.

In interviews and public statements, Millie has said that he is not intimidated by her political prominence.

Their relationship is built on respect and partnership, with Millie noting the personal qualities that endeared him to her.

 

He has made public appearances with Millie, including at her book launch and in social media posts during family occasions such as birthdays.
