The short clip spread quickly across social media, and ever since then, he says his phone has not stopped ringing. According to him, calls have been coming in from friends, neighbours, workmates, and even people he has not spoken to for years. But the worst and most painful calls, he says, were the ones from his in-laws.
In a calm but tired voice, Boniza explained that the situation became overwhelming within minutes of the video going public. He said that before he could even understand what was happening, people were already calling to ask questions or give their opinions. Some were mocking him, others were shocked, and a few were simply curious. However, nothing prepared him for the anger and disappointment in his in-laws’ voices.
He revealed that his wife’s family felt deeply embarrassed by the incident. They questioned him about what exactly happened, why he was in another woman’s bed, and how he planned to fix the damage he had caused. Boniza said the calls were heavy and emotional, and he struggled to find the right words to defend himself. He admitted that hearing their disappointment hurt more than the online reactions.
