The list provides insight into what Kenyans were curious about, reflecting both global and local trends. Google’s Year in Search is designed to show not just what people look for, but also why. “It reveals what the world searches to see, learn and do,” the report notes.

Among the top searches were terms related to meaning and understanding. Kenyans frequently looked up words and phrases to better comprehend language and culture.

Leading the list of trending meanings was Enigma, followed by Jowi, Conclave, Demure, and Kubant. Other popular searches included Habemus Papam, Wantam, Ayurvedic, Saba Saba, and Blood Moon.
