Félix explained, “The truth is that I had wanted to return to Benfica in the last three summers; it was always my desire, I always told that to my agents, but there was never any serious intent on the club’s part. I don’t know whose, but my desire was always to return; the opportunity never arose, not due to transfer fee issues or salaries—nothing to do with that. It was always about the other side’s willingness.”
The 24-year-old forward, who moved to Al Nassr from Atlético Madrid, stressed that while his heart was set on a Benfica comeback, the lack of initiative from the Portuguese club left him with limited options.
“So it didn’t happen, and Al Nassr stepped up with more desire and intent, and when that’s the case, we can’t refuse,” Félix added, highlighting the Saudi club’s determination to secure his signature.
