Taifa Leo media group has revealed to the public why Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Hon Musalia Mudavadi is under intense pressure to deliver victory for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party in the upcoming Malava constituency by-election, which will be held on Thursday, November 27th, 2025.
According to the source, previous to the untimely death of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader late Raila Odinga, the Father of the Nation Hon President William Ruto had considered granting Raila Odinga the job of Prime Cabinet Secretary CS, but his plans were dashed by his untimely death.
According to the source, that plan served as a reminder to Musalia Mudavadi that he is easily replaceable under Ruto’s led Kenya Kwanza administration, putting him under even more pressure to deliver a victory in the by-elections than Hon Prof Kithure Kindiki, whose DP spot is also being eyed by ODM supporters.
According to political analysts, a win for the UDA party in the Malava constituency would strengthen William Ruto’s chances of retaining Musalia Mudavadi as Prime Cabinet Secretary beyond 2027, whereas a loss would force him (Ruto) to reconsider assigning the prestigious position to a different region.
Mudavadi, who was once regarded as a central pillar of the ruling administration, is now under increasing scrutiny for his diminishing political leverage in the Western Kenya voting bloc, following the rise of Hon George Natembeya, who appears to wield enormous power in the region.
