Kenyan media personality Jaymo Ule Msee has urged residents of Mbeere North not to vote based on emotions, saying they should prioritize the community’s interests over individual interests.
Jaymo, speaking ahead of the upcoming by-elections in Mbeere North, called on residents to listen to local leaders who have been telling them to vote for their candidate, rather than a civilian.
“Are we helping Rigathi seek his revenge or are we helping ourselves? The deputy president of Kenya is from there. Rigathi wants to set his first political space; he is seeking revenge because he wants to show President William Ruto has a grip on the region,” Jaymo Ule Msee said.
The Deputy President of Kenya, His Excellency Kithure Kindiki, urged Mbeere North residents to vote for Leo Wamuthende, affirming that no violence will be witnessed during the by-elections.
Speaking in Embu County, Kindiki said the government will take all necessary measures to ensure suspects who attempt to disrupt the process are dealt with by the law.
Meanwhile, Rigathi Gachagua has urged Mbeere North residents to vote for Karish, stating that voting for Wamuthende would be a sign of betrayal to Kenyans who have been saying Ruto must go.
