The 2027 general election campaigns continues to tighten up with all candidates tightening their belts to clinch this seat. Interestingly, more leaders keep on expressing their interests to unseat president Ruto come next general election. However, the head of state, Dr William Ruto, has been also working tirelessly to ensure that all the promises he made during the 2022 general election campaigns are fully implemented.
Two years to next general election, president Ruto, received a fresh political headache following the bold declaration made by the Saboti constituency lawmaker, Hon Caleb Amisi, who has made it publicly that he will run for presidential seat come next general election. The lawmaker has been having a firm stand on the broad based government where he has been pushing the orange party leaders to end the agreement made.
The declaration made by the orange party lawmaker is likely to give president Ruto fresh headache because he is hoping that come next election orange party might support his candidature.
