FreeKenya Movement National Coordinator Felix Wambua has issued a strong warning to politicians, particularly those in government, saying the 2027 General Elections will mark an irreversible moment of truth for Kenya’s leadership.

Wambua said that Kenyans are growing increasingly tired of leaders who prioritize personal interests over national progress. He noted that citizens are more aware than ever and ready to hold their leaders accountable through the ballot.

Wambua stressed that the 2027 elections will not just be another political contest but a defining point for the country’s moral and political direction.

He urged young people to register as voters and take active roles in shaping the country’s destiny rather than leaving leadership in the hands of what he called “self-serving elites.”

Turning to regional politics, Wambua questioned the credibility of the recent Tanzanian elections, describing them as neither free nor fair.

He expressed disbelief that President Samia Suluhu could have legitimately secured 98 percent of the total votes cast, arguing that such results undermine democracy.

He added that the decision to hold the inauguration ceremony at a military barracks raised further doubts about the authenticity of the poll results.

Wambua called on regional leaders to respect democratic values, saying genuine leadership must come from the people’s will, not through manipulation or intimidation.

He affirmed that the FreeKenya Movement will continue advocating for transparent governance and electoral integrity across the East African region.
