Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has shared advice on relationships, urging people to think carefully about what they ask for in love and marriage.
Speaking on Instagram on Thursday, November 6, 2025, Diamond wrote: “Usiombe Mungu akupe mke au mume mnaependana tu, bali omba Mungu akupe mtu mnaelewana na wenye mtazamo unaofanana; ndio kitu cha muhimu sana kwenye maisha.”
He explained that love alone is not enough for a lasting partnership.
“A marriage built only on feelings can face challenges. Understanding and shared goals matter more,” he said.
Diamond, married to fellow artist Zuchu, added that couples should focus on emotional and mental connection as well as aligned life goals.
“Pray for someone who complements your personality, respects your ambitions, and shares your outlook on life,” he advised.
He believes that his own marriage benefits from shared goals and understanding, not just romance.
“Zuchu and I work in the same industry, and having common goals strengthens our bond,” he said.
