Ohangla star Prince Indah has spent an entire night in the studio to compose a special song in honour of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Raila, who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 80, died from a heart attack while undergoing medical treatment in the Indian city of Kochi. His sudden death, after collapsing during a morning walk, has left the nation in deep mourning.

In a heartfelt tribute, Prince Indah expressed the immense pain he felt upon hearing the news of Raila’s passing. “It is a dark Wednesday morning. The pain is beyond the world. Fare thee well, Baba,” he wrote in a post on social media.

Late that night, the talented Ohangla singer shared an update with his fans, showing himself in the studio working on a tribute song for the fallen political giant. He explained that the great Luo spirits of Got Ramogi had descended upon him, compelling him to compose a song in honour of Raila Odinga.

“The spirits of Got Ramogi have descended upon me this evening,” he said, referencing the Luo spiritual heritage, which holds significant meaning in the community. Indah revealed that the song would be ready and released by the following morning, before Raila’s remains arrived in Kenya.

The former prime minister’s body was expected to land in the country on Thursday, October 16, at 8 am. Indah, who is known for his powerful music and heartfelt lyrics, promised that the tribute would reflect the deep admiration and respect he had for Raila Odinga.

“Baba! Agwambo! Jakom! Tinga! Enigma! Nyundo! Rao! People’s President! Joshua… Ladies and gentlemen, the spirits of Got Ramogi have descended unto me this evening. I am here at the recording studio’s booth for Wuod Oganda, Amolo 3 in 1. Officially, a special tribute song to be released tomorrow morning at 6:00 am, a time when the Sun has not risen as directed by JUOGI. Forever in our hearts Jakawuor,” Indah posted.
