A lady who was only identified as Gina by one of the media houses is trending on all social media platforms, especially TikTok, after she clashed with a thug, overpowered him, and managed to put him in handcuffs on Monday morning.
The video of the incident has caught the attention of many Kenyans who have praised her for her courage and strength.
According to the report, Gina was on her way to work when the notorious thug, who had reportedly threatened and stolen from several people in the area, appeared in front of her trying to steal from her.
Witnesses said the thug attempted to grab her handbag, but Gina quickly reacted and refused to give in.
“He thought I would just surrender like others, but I had to teach him a lesson,” she was quoted saying.
However, Gina appeared to be stronger than the thug. She pushed him to the ground, removed a pair of handcuffs she had in her bag, and tied his hands together. She then ordered him to move and sit on the roadside so that members of the public could see him.
“You always target women, today you will sit here until the police come,” Gina reportedly told the thug.
In a video that has since gone viral, Gina was heard questioning the thug why he couldn’t find a normal job like other men instead of stealing from innocent people. The thug, looking embarrassed, confessed his guilt and asked for forgiveness.
“I am sorry madam, I will never do it again,” he said in the video.
The brave woman later said that she would forgive the man but regretted that the incident had made her late for work.
“I forgive you, but next time think twice before trying to rob a woman. You’ve made me late for my job,” Gina added.
