Jaysoul

Jaysoul, a popular artist known for his unique sound and connection to his hometown, has decided to stay in Meru rather than relocate to the capital city in Nairobi.

At 30 years old, Jaysoul has built a strong fanbase in Meru, where he is regarded as the leading artist.

He believes that staying in his hometown helps him maintain his individuality in a competitive music scene.

Many artists move to Nairobi to grow their careers, but Jaysoul thinks being based in Meru makes him stand out.

In an interview, he explained, “I want to be unique. There are so many artists in Nairobi, but here in Meru, I can be myself and dominate the local market.” He enjoys strong support from his community, which has helped him succeed.

Local fans appreciate his music, and he often collaborates with visiting artists, further boosting his profile.

Jaysoul is also committed to giving back to his community. Recently, he organized a feeding program for street children in Meru, partnering with fellow musician Bien Aime-Baraza.

He expressed the joy he feels when helping those in need, stating, “It was fulfilling to support these children.”

The artist first gained popularity with his Kimeru version of the global hit “Despacito,” which went viral several years ago.

Since then, he has continued to produce music and is signed with the Watanashati Classic Label.

His manager, Kayfar Watanashati, supports his vision and helps him grow his brand.

In addition to his local efforts, Jaysoul has been working on projects aimed at reaching a wider audience.

He recently collaborated with rising star Trio Mio on a song called “Focus,” spending KSh 1.5 million on its music video. He is dedicated to investing in his career and aims for international recognition.
