A fresh report by the Standard media group on Friday 19th September 2025 has exposed how a group of teenage girls and boys from renowned secondary schools in Marakwet planned for a romantic encounter during the April holiday before school resumed for the second term.
As disclosed by one of the teachers, during the April holiday, a group of students from Marakwet Boys High school and Santa Maria girls secondary school met at undisclosed where they planned for the romantic date when schools resumed.
When schools were on for the second term, a eight boys from Marakwet Boys High allegedly sneaked out of the institution at 11:00 PM before finding their way into Santa Maria girls secondary school for a night of passion.
Luckily the watchmen were already informed that a group of boys had found their way out of the school compound and they remained vigilant to arrest them.
Later, police officers were involved in the matter before they later came to realize that the night visits were a tradition for both schools and had thrived for decades work the content of the schools’ leadership.
