Activist Boniface Mwangi has declared that he will run for President in the 2027 General Election, but unlike other candidates who rely on political financiers and party machines, Mwangi says his campaign will be powered by ordinary citizens.

Speaking at Ufungumano House in Nairobi, the outspoken activist revealed that his presidential journey would depend on contributions from Kenyans who believe in change.

He openly stated that he is looking for money to fund his campaign, explaining that this approach will ensure accountability and independence.

“I am not going to be funded by cartels or corrupt individuals who expect favors after elections. I want Kenyans themselves to support this campaign, no matter how little they give,” Mwangi said.

He outlined his key priorities if elected: free education, free healthcare, and clean water for every household.

Mwangi argued that the government has for too long ignored the basic needs of its citizens while piling up debt and allowing corruption to thrive.

He also promised to seek justice for victims of police brutality, recover stolen public funds, and prosecute leaders linked to graft.

According to him, a government must serve the people, not a few individuals at the top. His campaign is anchored on the slogan “Mwanzo Mpya” (A New Beginning).
