Police in Nairobi have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a Somali woman at a guest house in South B Estate, a case that has sent shockwaves across the community.
The victim, identified as 35-year-old Farhiyo Ahmed, checked into the Fuata Nyayo Guest House late at night alongside a man later identified as Chelsea Mwangi, popularly known as Mcheche.
Police reports indicate that Mwangi, who is believed to have been Ahmed’s boyfriend, paid KSh 400 for the room before the two settled in.

The following morning, a caretaker at the guest house noticed the door to their room was slightly open.
Alarmed, she informed the management, and upon entry, Ahmed was discovered lying motionless on the bed with blood seeping from her mouth and nose.
Officers later confirmed that her body bore visible head injuries, suggesting possible foul play.
Detectives drawn from the Makadara Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the South B Police Station, and the Scenes of Crime Unit immediately visited the site.
Evidence was collected before Ahmed’s body was transferred to the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary, where a postmortem will determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile, Mwangi has gone missing and is now regarded as the prime suspect.
Police have mounted a manhunt for him, urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to report to the nearest station.
The incident has drawn further intrigue after a romantic video resurfaced online showing Mwangi and the deceased in happier times.
The pair appeared affectionate and deeply in love, raising questions about what could have led to the tragic turn of events.
As investigations continue, authorities are focusing on piecing together the couple’s final hours and uncovering whether domestic conflict may have been involved.
