Popular Female DJ Exposes Manager For Allegedly Failing to Pay Her After Consuming Her Services
If you’re active on social media, especially on Facebook, you may have come across a post by a female DJ who claims that a certain manager has not paid her for her services.
According to DJ Sonnie M, the manager has been unresponsive to her phone calls and has failed to settle her payments.
“Akabenzi BBQ manager, if you can’t answer my calls, then please settle my payments,” she stated, calling out the manager for not honoring their agreement.
Unfortunately, it’s a recurring issue where managers or club owners manipulate female DJs and artists by not paying them after using their services. This trend needs to be addressed and stopped.
In the comments section, people advised DJ Sonnie M and other female DJs to form an organization and hire their own lawyer to advocate for them. This is a secondary type of gender violence.
