Oga Obinna

Kenyan comedian and media personality Oga Obinna has once again found himself at the center of public debate after a candid family conversation went viral online. In the clip, Obinna is seen speaking openly with his children about relationships, reproduction, and the consequences of choices—an exchange that has left Kenyans divided.

During the sit-down, Obinna urged his daughters to be transparent with him should they ever find themselves pregnant. “If any one of you makes a mistake and gets pregnant, come and tell me. If you’re pregnant, you’re pregnant. You will give birth, and that child will grow. Every decision has a consequence,” he told them.

He further stressed that while he would offer financial support, he would not take on the responsibility of raising their children. “You will raise your own child. I will not raise it for you. Do not terminate a pregnancy, because you will die,” he warned, adding that when they turn 18, they would sit down and choose the most suitable family planning method.

The conversation stirred laughter and tension when he jokingly mentioned that he might take his son for a vasectomy while ensuring his daughters are on contraceptives.

However, the viral clip drew mixed reactions online. Some Kenyans applauded his openness, saying it is better for parents to guide their children on sensitive topics early. Others accused him of chasing clout by recording such intimate conversations.

“Straight talk,” one fan commented, while another dismissed it as “family matters that shouldn’t be online.”

Obinna, a father of four, has never shied away from controversial discussions. Recently, he revealed that his request for a DNA test from one of his baby mamas caused a heated fallout—another reminder of how his personal life continues to spark public interest.
