Kenyan socialite and influencer Amber Ray has once again set tongues wagging after fans noticed she was no longer wearing her engagement ring.
This comes amid whispers that her relationship with businessman Kennedy Rapudo may have hit rocky ground.
The couple has been together for more than three years, with Rapudo proposing to Amber not once but twice. His first proposal came during a lavish trip to Dubai in November 2022.
The second followed a few months later, during Amber’s extravagant baby shower in May 2023. On both occasions, Rapudo promised Amber a lifetime of love, urging her never to take off the engagement ring.
But three years down the line, there is still no wedding—and recent events suggest the love story might be nearing its end.
In a promotional video for a travel company, Amber reminisced about her last trip to Thailand with Rapudo.
She described it as her best vacation yet, but what caught fans’ attention was how she referred to him—not as her fiancé, but as “Baba Africanah”, a nod to their child.
To many followers, the subtle change in language was enough to confirm the breakup rumours.
Social media users were quick to react. Some applauded her maturity, while others begged the two to reconcile. A few fans even joked about booking their next holiday with “Baba Afri” if he was still in the picture.
When questioned about the rumours during a radio interview, Rapudo was careful with his words.
He said only Amber could clarify the state of their relationship. Asked whether he had been kicked out of their home, he dismissed the claim as baseless gossip.
