Kamau Court

Court proceedings at Milimani Law Courts were briefly interrupted today after activist Julius Kamau stormed into a session, causing a scene that forced security officers to intervene. The incident, which happened on Monday morning, left court officials and the public momentarily unsettled.

According to witnesses, Kamau disrupted the ongoing hearing by raising his voice and attempting to address the magistrate directly without following court procedure. His actions stalled the proceedings, drawing attention from lawyers, litigants, and members of the public present in the courtroom.

Security officers quickly moved in to restore order. Despite attempts to calm him down, Kamau continued to cause commotion, prompting the officers to escort him out of the courtroom. The magistrate directed that the proceedings continue once calm was restored, stressing the need to protect the dignity of the court.

The disruption sparked mixed reactions outside the courtroom. Some observers viewed Kamau’s actions as a protest against what he considered injustice, while others criticized the move as disrespectful and disruptive to the judicial process. Legal experts note that any attempt to disrupt a court session undermines the independence of the judiciary and may lead to charges of contempt of court.
