Yviona visited with her mother and explained how she learned about her move to the United States after the KCSE exams.
The emotional reunion occurred on Yviona’s birthday and during her sister’s wedding in America. The gorgeous vocalist pondered on the difficulties of growing up without her mother and living alone.
In a social media post, the musician stated that her mother left the country in 2013, just as Yviona was preparing for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
At the time, Yviona had no idea her mother had moved to the United States. Her family chose not to inform her about the migration in order to keep her focused throughout the most important period of her exams.
Yviona’s long-awaited reunion with her mother took place on her birthday, which also happened to be her sister’s wedding day.
Yviona also said that she received her visa four weeks before the wedding, calling it as a fantastic turn of events.
“If that isn’t God,” she stated. Yviona expressed gratitude, highlighting God’s faithfulness throughout her journey.
