Lang’ata MP and media personality Phelix Odiwuor, better known as Jalang’o, has finally lifted the veil on VJ Patelo and Diana’s viral wedding — and revealed he was part of the planning team.
Speaking in a candid YouTube interview on Friday, August 8, Jalang’o said the Arbantone musician’s nuptials didn’t just cost the KSh 500 million Patelo had earlier claimed — the bill was closer to KSh 670 million.
“Patelo lied to you all,” Jalang’o laughed. “I was in the committee, and the budget wasn’t KSh 500 million — it was KSh 670 million. That wedding was massive.”
The MP admitted he couldn’t offer financial advice to Patelo because “he’s richer than me,” joking about the singer’s gold chain said to cost between KSh 4–8 million.
The luxury bash, held July 26 at Naiposha Gardens, featured an imported Dubai wedding cake, KSh 1.6 million dress, KSh 1.7 million groom’s suit, designer outfits for 10 groomsmen, and gold rings worth KSh 1.5 million.
