Kenyan gospel artist Daddy Owen has lauded Generation Z for their bold and fearless approach to demanding change in the country. According to the celebrated musician, Gen Z is currently the only group actively challenging the status quo, while older generations and politicians have returned to their usual, unproductive routines.

Speaking in a recent interview, Daddy Owen expressed admiration for the youth-led protests and online activism that have captured national attention in recent months. He noted that young people are using their voices, creativity, and digital platforms to push for accountability and transparency in leadership.

“Gen Z is doing what many of us failed to do. They are awake, alert, and unafraid. They are not just talking — they are taking action,” said Daddy Owen. “While many in the older generations have grown tired or compromised, these young people are stepping up for all of us.”

His comments come in the wake of a wave of protests led by Gen Z against government policies, corruption, and rising living costs. Many Kenyans have been inspired by the youth’s ability to organize peaceful demonstrations and influence public discourse through social media.

Daddy Owen, who has long used his platform to speak on social issues, urged other celebrities and influential figures to support the younger generation’s efforts. He warned that ignoring the voices of Gen Z would be a mistake, as they represent the future of the country.

“Change doesn’t come from silence,” he said. “It comes from action — and right now, Gen Z is leading that charge.”

His remarks have sparked conversations online, with many Kenyans echoing his sentiments and commending the youth for their courage and determination in holding leaders accountable.
