Trans Nzoia County Governor George Natembeya has issued an afternoon statement following his closed door meeting with President William Ruto’s trusted ally Kipchumba Murkomen.
The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration paid a courtesy call to the governor who officially welcomed him into office.
Among the issues discussed, is the need for strengthened cooperation between the national and county governments for effective governance in the country.
“Today, I welcomed the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Hon. Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen, who paid a courtesy call to my office during his “Jukwa la Usalama” tour in Trans Nzoia County,” Natembeya stated.
“Our discussions focused on key regional issues, including the persistent problem of land grabbing. We agreed on the need for stronger collaboration between national and county governments to tackle such challenges head on and to promote peace, security, and sustainable development for the people of Trans Nzoia,” he added.
