Dr. Peter Mbae, Secretary for Planning and Economic Affairs in Gachagua’s DCP party has claimed that ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna speaks on behalf of Raila Odinga.
Speaking during an interview on TV47’s Morning Cafe show, Mbae said, “Anytime you hear Sifuna speak, turn up the volume and listen to that guy. That is the voice of Raila Odinga.”
He alleged that Raila is using a tactical approach by sending some ODM members to support President Ruto’s government while allowing others to criticize it.
According to Mbae, this dual strategy helps Raila maintain support on both sides within government and in the opposition without losing ground politically. He further predicted that ODM members currently supporting government will start pulling out as 2027 approaches.
Mbae insisted there is no way a party secretary general could be speaking boldly against Ruto’s administration without the direct backing of the party leader.
