After being accused of orchestrating June 25th anniversary protests that resulted into looting and destruction of properties in Nairobi, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has made a surprising allegation.
Speaking as reported by Tuesday’s People’s Daily publication, Gachagua claims that senior police officers allegedly met at statehouse where they were tasked with intimidating Mt Kenya leaders.
According to the former Mathira Constituency member of parliament, looting and destruction of properties was planned in order to put the blame on Opposition leaders.
His statement comes off days after Ruto’s allies led by Kikuyu Constituency member of parliament Hon Kimani Ichungwah called for the arrest of Gachagua.
It should be noted that DCI are allegedly completing investigations over allegations of Gachagua orchestrating the June 25th anniversary protests.
