On 11th July, Neema spent an uneasy evening with Eddy during supper at his house.
While they sat at the dining table, Eddy noticed Neema had lost her appetite. He attempted to lighten the mood by teasing her and spoke about his plan for a family trip.
Ian, who was present, asked if their uncle Mark would join them. Eddy responded coldly that Mark would stay busy with his own family.
Later, Jojo informed Eddy about a separate trip he intended to take with his friend Jayden for two days. Jojo’s mother reminded him it was also his birthday the next day.
Neema felt uncomfortable letting Jojo go because she did not want to remain alone in the house with Eddy. Surprisingly, Eddy allowed Jojo to travel, telling him to enjoy himself for as long as he wished.
This left Neema displeased, suspecting Eddy wanted her to remain in the house alone with him.
At Mark’s home, the atmosphere also shifted. Mark and Rachael shared a meal together.
Rachael felt hopeful when she noticed Mark smiling at her, thinking he wanted to rebuild their bond. However, Mark’s thoughts were elsewhere.
He pictured Neema seated where Rachael sat and found comfort in that vision. When he realised it was Rachael, his smile faded, leaving Rachael puzzled by his sudden distance.
Meanwhile, Karen confided in her cousin about Eddy’s manipulative ways. She admitted feeling pained watching Neema fall back into Eddy’s traps.
Karen promised to help Neema escape Eddy’s plan as a way to correct her past mistakes.
Elsewhere, Sharon and Val clashed with Dancan over Val’s wish to join a trip. Dancan initially refused to let Val spend two nights away. Sharon persuaded him to allow Val to go, choosing to avoid conflict in the family.
Mark’s son, Amani, spoke with his father to question his sorrow. Mark explained his struggle to accept Neema’s departure.
Amani reminded him that he still had his family’s support but Mark remained stuck in his thoughts about Neema.
Neema, feeling unsafe alone, left her room to sleep in Ian’s room that night. Eddy noticed and confronted her, but she insisted on staying close to her child.
Alone at night, Neema found herself thinking about Mark and wept quietly, missing him despite everything.
Meanwhile, Jojo shared information with Neema that Amani claimed Mark seemed happy and was helping Rachael with household chores. Neema felt heartbroken hearing Mark might have moved on so soon.
On the same day, Naomi rushed to court and unexpectedly decided to finalise her divorce from Richard.
Richard did not anticipate Naomi’s sudden decision and struggled to understand what had changed so quickly.
Unknown to him, Naomi planned to pursue a relationship with someone else after the divorce.
Sharon made up her mind to visit Eddy’s house to remove Neema, believing it was the only way to help her. Isabelle suggested they first call Neema to understand her situation better.
Later, Neema went to the police station to file a report regarding Ian’s past kidnapping.
She learnt that the suspect linked to the kidnapping had died in prison by taking his own life. This revelation frustrated Neema, who believed Eddy might have been connected to the crime.
With the suspect gone, Neema realised the case could not proceed further in court, leaving her with more questions than answers.
