Rural Estate

The Wanyama family’s stately rural estate became the focus for the sad send-off of their mother, Mama Mildred Ayiemba Osotsi Wanyama.

The stunning two-story residence, which was first exhibited in 2024, features arched balconies, maroon tiles, and slanted pillars that provide a striking architectural flair.

Mourners gathered around the sumptuous mansion, and many praised the boys for honoring their mother.

The home first appeared on social media in 2024, when Victor Wanyama’s brother, Thomas ‘Heskey’ Khumba, shared a photo of it.

The two-story, Mediterranean-inspired villa is nestled among lush foliage. The mansion has expansive glass windows, lovely arched balconies, and a red clay tile roof, giving it a dignified but modern appearance.

Mama Mildred Ayiemba Osotsi Wanyama was laid to rest during a solemn ceremony in Soy, Uasin Gishu County.

She died on Saturday morning, June 14, and will be remembered for her strong religion, family, and sports.

A number of leaders and sports stars attended the funeral, including Michael Olunga, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, and Prime Minister CS Musalia Mudavadi.

The house is vast and could easily accommodate more than six bedrooms. It has maroon tiles and a large balcony on the first level.

The home has a distinct architectural design, with the pillars at the entry door slanting. What have Kenyans said about the Wanyama family mansion?

Mourners were seen gathered around the house during the funeral. “Congratulations to Victor Wanyama and Mariga for building an amazing mall for their late mum,” a TikTok user captioned a video.

Reactions: Dee said, “If they don’t construct, people will judge. They built, yet people still judge.”

According to Adv Opanga Kusina, “Those boys have money, they can even build an airstrip at that home.” @DominicBosire557: “Talent pays.”

“Truthfully, if I had the money, I too would build this for my parents.” Clarify Musimbi: “Let them build.” Do you know where they used to live? Muthurwa.
