Gaucho

Bunge La Mwananchi President Calvince “Gaucho” Okoth is once again trending this time not for his fiery political statements, but for unveiling his brand-new mansion that has left Kenyans talking.

The outspoken Raila Odinga loyalist gave fans a virtual tour of his posh residence, a far cry from the humble background he often references in his political rallies. The video, shared widely on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), shows a modern, multi-bedroom home with fresh paintwork, tiled floors, and a sleek compound.

“This is just the beginning. I’m still hustling, but I thank God for how far I’ve come,” Gaucho said in the clip. “I’ve never stolen from anyone. I’m not in government. This is the result of hard work and believing in my dream.”

Gaucho, who rose to prominence for his bold appearances in street protests and Azimio la Umoja events, is known for his unwavering support for Raila Odinga. Many Kenyans online praised his journey from downtown Nairobi’s Jeevanjee Gardens to building his own home, calling it a true hustler’s story.

However, others questioned how he managed to finance the house, given that he has no known official government job or business. “Hii ni nyumba ya kuzungumziwa,” one user posted. “I hope it’s not taxpayers’ sweat channeled through shady ways.”

Still, Gaucho remained unbothered. “I don’t owe anyone an explanation. If I eat matumbo today and build a house tomorrow, ni God,” he responded on a livestream.

Whether you love or doubt him, one thing is clear Gaucho has leveled up, and he’s not shy about showing it.

As always, Kenyans are watching, debating, and waiting for the next episode in the life of the self-declared president of the streets.
