Former Attorney General Justin Muturi has described the incident where the current Attorney General Dorcas Oduor nearly kneeling before President William Ruto as disturbing and should not be happening.
In the photo, President Ruto is seen standing at a distance behind his desk at State House, Nairobi. AG Oduor is also seen bowing down before him before approaching the President.
In his statement, Muturi has argued that the gesture shown by the AG profoundly confirms his claims that the Cabinet lives in fear of President Ruto.
Further, he affirmed that he cannot stoop too low as a leader into worshipping another human being
“This image of AG Dorcas Oduor nearly kneeling before the President is disturbing and confirms what I once said, cabinet operates in fear,” Muturi stated.
With that, he condemned the culture of submission to power as it breeds authorianism rather than leadership.
