R Gachagua

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua lit up Luanda, Vihiga County, with bold words that fired up residents. Speaking to a huge crowd, he claimed that the people of Luanda had officially joined what he called the liberation movement.

According to him, power belongs to the people and they must stand up against any irresponsible government that fails them. His message was clear — the time for change is now.

Gachagua thanked the people of Luanda for what he described as their love and dedication to a better tomorrow. He praised their courage to reject poor leadership and demanded leaders respect the voice of the citizens.

But as usual, Kenyans online had mixed feelings about Gachagua’s speech. One person, Koech, dropped a savage Kalenjin proverb saying only a fool goes to the lion’s den to look for bones, hinting that Gachagua might be wasting his time.

Another, Anderson, mocked critics who once called Gachagua a tribal leader who could never be welcomed outside his Mt Kenya base, saying now they must see how Vihiga embraced him.

Serges, on the other hand, wondered if people even have jobs anymore, shocked by the massive turnout in Luanda on what looked like an ordinary weekday. These comments show how sharply divided Kenyans still are when it comes to Gachagua’s politics and big declarations.

Gachagua used the moment to push his narrative of empowering citizens against what he claims is a careless administration. His message hit home with many in the crowd, who cheered him on and even joined in chanting for change. He made it look like a revolution in the making, mixing street language with big promises.

In conclusion, Gachagua’s Luanda rally proves he is working hard to grow his influence beyond his backyard.

Whether the so-called liberation movement will shake up 2027 politics remains to be seen, but one thing is clear — he knows how to get people talking. Kenyan politics is heating up, and youth should stay woke to separate real change from sweet campaign talk.
