Samidoh Mucgoki

Popular Mugithi artist Samidoh Muchoki appears to be enjoying his time in the United States, with his latest video showing him confidently driving a Jeep Wrangler through American streets. In a caption accompanying the video, the singer wrote, “Houston Texas was great!! Tomorrow we meet at the Live Music Capital of the World -Austin.”

This upbeat post comes amid swirling speculation surrounding his temporary return to Kenya earlier this month, reportedly due to an emergency.

Though he did not disclose details, Mugithi Singer Samidoh addressed the issue with calm defiance. “I do not fear anyone. This country belongs to us, and we will not run from it,” he stated firmly.

Samidoh, the Mugithi singer, also alluded to a big revelation that would likely happen soon, saying, “I will make a major declaration soon, but my position remains unchanged.”

The National Police Service accused the musician of deserting duty, but the artist, who is also a police officer with Gilgil’s Anti-Stock Theft Unit, denied the allegations.By presenting official documents dated April 25, 2025, Samidoh proved he had received official authorisation to enter the United States.

The approval, which was signed by Mathew Kutoh on behalf of the Inspector General, made it clear that all costs were paid for personally and that the trip was private.

Recently, Gachagua revealed that, “he told Samidoh this: Your police salary is KSh 40,000. Yet you earn around KSh 400,000 every weekend from music—that’s about KSh 1.6 million a month.

Why chase KSh 40,000 in a dangerous job when your talent clearly pays more?” Gachagua posed, urging the Mugithi star to focus fully on his music career and let go of the risks tied to police service.
