Ruto in School1

On Tuesday morning, President William Ruto hosted a breakfast meeting at State House with the Kenya Police Forces Football Club (FC) to celebrate their recent triumph in the Kenyan Premier League.

The event served as both a tribute to the team’s outstanding performance on the field and a platform for the President to reaffirm his administration’s unwavering support for the police service.

President Ruto lauded the police for their tireless work in maintaining law and order, emphasizing that national security is the foundation of a stable country.

“Without the efforts of our police officers in protecting people and property, we would have no country,” said the President.

He went on to highlight the government’s commitment to improving the welfare of police officers, revealing that 25% of units in the Affordable Housing Programme have been allocated to members of the police service.

“Our officers deserve a dignified life just like every other Kenyan. Owning a home should not be a privilege, but a right,” he stated.

President Ruto also addressed the growing concern of public disrespect towards law enforcement officers.

He warned that any individual who intimidates or disrespects police officers would face the full force of the law.

“No one should dare abuse or look down upon a police officer. Let us respect our officers as they carry out their duty, and they too must respect the citizens they serve,” he added.

The Head of State concluded by reaffirming his total support for the police, urging Kenyans to work hand-in-hand with law enforcement for the betterment of the nation.

The event ended on a celebratory note as the President congratulated Kenya Police FC for their sporting excellence and discipline.
